LIVING SACRIFICE LONGSLEEVE

Description

Romans 12:1 says, “Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.”

Under the old covenant, there was a requirement for the lifeblood of an animal to cover the sins of the people. Christ’s blood was shed, and with His sacrifice upon the cross, our sins were removed. The sacrifice of bulls and goats is no longer needed.

“It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. That is why, when Christ came into the world, He said to God, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer. You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin.” (Hebrews 10:4-6)

The Lord does not require gifts of atonement because He has already paid for your atonement; He wants the sacrifice of your whole life! He wants your whole being in submission to Jesus! The living sacrifice of a life completely consumed by the Spirit of Christ.

Christ in you, the hope of glory, a testimony of the Resurrected One. Your body, mind, soul, and spirit are in Christ, and Christ is in you.

You were once instruments of lawlessness, now you are transformed into instruments of righteousness!

This is the message of this design! A radical sacrifice to the Lord Jesus. Instead of bulls and goats on the altar, we give the Lord our hearts. “Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God…”(2 Corinthians 2:15)

Let us give ourselves a Living Sacrifice for you oh Lord!

Rise up a generation who will truly give themselves in full submission, in complete obedience, and in radical love to Jesus Christ!
