Purveyors Of The New Paradigm

Throughout Church history, in reality throughout the complete history of God’s people, during times of crises, new paradigms emerge. In each instance, the Spirit of God raises up and uses a select few to lead the people of God, such as Abraham, Moses, Gideon, David, Jesus, Peter, Paul, Martin Luther, William J. Seymour, Smith Wigglesworth, Lonnie Frisbee, Rees Howell, Evan Roberts, Aimee Semple McPherson, Kathryn Kuhlman, Watchman Nee, Martin Luther King Jr.

Often these innovators (or called ones) have been tested and proven to be suitable vessels to be used by King Jesus due to being less invested in, or more willing, to break the older, accepted paradigms.

These anointed ones carry a unique combination of humility and openness to the Spirit of God.

In each instance, with each leader, in different degrees, the old order passes away and the people of God are ushered into the new. This new is always in actuality a restoration of the ancient paths (Jeremiah 6:16). The precepts and plans of God returned to His people. Our greatest example of this is our Lord and God, Jesus, ushering in the new covenant. The old was fulfilled and the new covenant was ushered in by His blood. (Matthew 5:17) Jesus purchased on our behalf that which was forfeited in the Garden.

Jesus as “suffering servant” (Isaiah 52 and 53, Mark 10:45), also displayed for us the cost of being a pioneer of the “new”.

The posture and experiences of Jesus give us context as to “why” it usually takes a crisis in order for new paradigms to be ignited. The adaption of new paradigms requires a great deal of hardship and energy. The new covenant was ushered in by a life of hardship and persecution which culminated in the ultimate act of sacrifice: Christ’s death on the cross. His blood paid for the new covenant, the new Way. The crisis of Jesus’ death led to the resurrection, which ushered in an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church.

Paradigm shifts rarely happen without crises. We all have the tendency of growing comfortable in the old paradigms. The old liturgy, the old traditions, what we have “become accustomed to”, all provide a warm comfort that lulls the people of God to sleep.

Do not be mistaken, a crisis is again upon us. It has been ever increasing for the last seven years and it is coming to a crescendo.

The people of God are awakened by shaking while those whose “god” is comfort, are resistant and hostile to the movement of the Spirit.

Our “cribs” have been kicked over and the leaders of the New are crawling out. Sometimes crying and screaming as they emerge, they choose to follow Christ. Out of perceived safety, they enter into a time of refining and exponential growth. They move from the old paradigms, venturing into the new.

Others stay huddled together underneath, clinging to the security blanket of the old wine skin. These blankets will not keep them warm or secure when times of crises increase. These ones choose to remain as infants as they cry for milk. (Hebrews 5:13) They refuse the command of the Lord to, “increase, withstand, mobilize and move out.” (This is the message that the Lord Jesus is shouting out to His Bride!)

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord says this to you:

Come out from among them!

Come out of the sacred spaces which have been defiled by fear.

Come out of the milk soaked places and come into my fire!

Do not allow the comfort of yesterday to keep you from stepping forward into Me!

No longer are you to lean on the staff of Moses, relying on miracles that I have wrought in the past.

His staff has budded and born fruit.

Taste and See what has been harvested from the generals of the past, but do not camp out there.

The pinnacles and platitudes of your family lines are being shaken.

They will not survive.

Fire is consuming them!

Fire is devouring them!

There is a new mountain top.

There is a new paradigm.

Do not drink from broken cisterns.

I, The Lord God Almighty says,

Emerge!

Emerge My Sons!

Emerge My daughters!

Take rest in Me

Take rest in Me alone.

Do not cling to those you called “father”.

Do not cling to those you relied on to bring you peace.

I AM PEACE!

All foreign gods are rotten wine skins smelling of sulphur and smoke!

Full of holes.

This garment will not keep you warm.

This garment will not keep you safe.

Escape the compromise of this age.

Flee the old season;

Flee the old paradigms.

Come into the new!

Enter into Me.”

This is what the Lord Jesus is saying to you. Will you listen or will your refuse to heed His words?

“That is why the Holy Spirit says,

“Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.

There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years.

So I was angry with them, and I said,
‘Their hearts always turn away from me.
They refuse to do what I tell them.’

So in my anger I took an oath:
‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”

– Hebrews 3:7-11

The old paradigms have passed away. The old thing, the old way of doing church, no longer has life. You are clinging to rotten flesh if you cling to that which is dead.

Come out of the flesh and into resurrection!

Do not weep at the grave.

Join us in the upper room as the Spirit of God pours out the New Wine to a thirsty Church.

Join the army, join the remnant.

Enter into the gathering of the Saints for the communion of Christ.

Do not react as the religious leaders did in Jesus day.

“…Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes.”

-Genesis 35:2

May the Lord Jesus receive the reward of His suffering.

In Jesus name!
